Senior Product Marketing Manager

Formation is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, you will bring a balanced mix of strategic and technical skills to establish deep customer and market insights, identify and segment our target audience, build powerful messaging and content, and support the go-to-market needs of Product, Sales, and Marketing.


  • Product Messaging - Identify target customer segments and relevant personas. Develop and own product positioning, segmentation, messaging and value propositions that differentiate Formation’s solution in the market
  • Product Roadmap - Work closely with Product Managers to identify needs and sharpen product offerings based on feedback from customers, sales and competitive offerings
  • Go-To-Market Strategy – Drive GTM and product launch strategies by developing clear product positioning and value propositions. Drive launches for new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Sales Enablement – Communicate value proposition to the sales team and enable them with high-value sales tools, including personas, presentations, solution guides, competitive battlecards and content related to the buyer’s journey.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence – Continuously monitor the market and assess the competition to gain a thorough understanding of technology shifts and market needs. Understand key messages being promoted and discussed; manage and adjust product messaging accordingly. Monitor competitive news and information keeping up to date on competitive announcements and product claims.
  • Collateral Generation – Develop, publish, and share technical content including whitepapers, blog posts, videos, webinars, training, and tutorials
  • Customer Engagement - Keep current on customer’s product feedback and needs, including customer’s buying behavior, challenges and motivations to help develop additional messages/collateral

About You:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience; minimum 2+ years in the B2C software industry, with strong preference for background in managing Enterprise SaaS products is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree. MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • Proven success developing, implementing and managing go-to-market plans
  • Experience doing market research and analysis, detailed competitor and/or pricing analysis
  • Motivated, results-oriented, multi-tasking go-getter up to the challenge of a fast-paced environment
  • Detail and results oriented. Skilled at both planning and hands-on execution
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills: will be required to coordinate closely with multiple teams that are geographically dispersed
  • Comfortable working in a small company environment
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
