Senior Data Analyst

Formation is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join an incredibly talented team responsible for unlocking the power of customer data to develop data-driven insights that drive immense impact and value for some of the largest, most well-known global companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to enterprise companies and provide guidance on customer relationship marketing strategy, consumer insights, and segmentation strategies
  • Create and execute incisive marketing analysis processes used to drive customer decisions and increase incremental, attributable revenue
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to understand customer business goals/ways of working, and identify areas of opportunity to better leverage Formation to achieve these goals
  • Work with internal teams to develop cross-customer insights and guide the evolution of the Formation product and business development opportunities
  • Work closely with Data Science to put customer insights into production via better customer segmentation and input features to ML models.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving
  • Solid business acumen, and superior written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Extensive experience presenting analyses to business stakeholders and ability to clearly share results with a non-technical audience
  • Proven experience in leveraging customer analytical methods to drive customer and business outcomes
  • Knack for data visualization - experience with Tableau strongly preferred
  • Proficient in data access methods for large customer and transaction databases - strong SQL skills a must; Python is a plus
  • Familiarity with hypothesis testing and determinations of statistical significance is a plus.
  • Expertise in MS Office (Excel and PPT) and Google counterparts (Docs and Slides)
  • Able to deliver near-term wins while building towards a larger strategic vision
  • Deep knowledge of retail and ecommerce customer domains a plus
  • Experience working with enterprise clients a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role - preferably in product/business analytics
