Product Manager

Formation is seeking a Product Manager to help drive the strategy, execution and alignment of our software and organization around specific industry verticals. Our platform learns and adapts to people's preferences, habits, and feedback—orchestrating highly relevant experiences that are truly unique to each person. The largest brands in the world use our platform to change the way people engage across multiple industries, be it travel, retail, finance, or healthcare.

As a PM, you'll focus on a specific industry vertical to become a subject matter expert in the problem space, define solutions, demonstrate prioritization mastery, and communicate with all internal functions and Fortune 500 clients. You will partner with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Customer Success, and Business Operations to ensure the success of the team's product goals. Ultimately, you care deeply about creating beautiful, highly crafted and innovative experiences.

This is a unique opportunity to grow into a Product Manager Lead for a specific industry vertical or to move into Customer Success as a Client Lead, managing all aspects of strategy, growth and advisory for a Fortune 500 client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to understand current state, challenges, and trends. Be an active listener and co-collaborator. Support implementation and post-deployment activities.
  • Assist in developing product strategy and roadmap for new features, balancing product vision with customer driven expansion requirements
  • Own product creation and development from initial ideation through go-to-market launch
  • Contribute to a cross-functional team (data science, analytics, engineering, design, QA, customer success) that owns multiple aspects of the product and customer experience
  • Become a subject matter expert in an industry vertical

Skills and Experience:

Must have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product management, software engineering or management / IT consulting
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to persuade, influence, and build internal momentum for critical initiatives
  • Experience navigating business, customer experience, and technical tradeoffs in application and/or platform development
  • Familiarity with statistics and/or general analytics
  • Prior experience with agile development methodologies
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Technical background in computer science or related engineering field

Great to have:

  • Marketing and promotions execution experience a plus
