Director of Partnerships

Formation is seeking a Director of Partnerships to develop, manage, and grow strategic partnerships that drive incremental customers, revenue, product capabilities, and customer value in the market. As the first hire dedicated to partnerships, you will be expected to build and execute against the strategy for growing Formation’s partner ecosystem. You will be expected to develop a robust understanding of our product and work cross-functionally to build offerings that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to build, grow, and scale Formation’s emerging partner ecosystem (e.g. marketing technology vendors, digital agencies, and other service providers)
  • Prospect, negotiate, and implement strategic partnerships that drive incremental customers, revenue, product capabilities, and customer value in the market
  • Work cross-functionally to build offerings that enhance Formation’s current capabilities (including business cases, marketing, sales, enablement, and deployment plans)
  • Partner with sales to accelerate new customer opportunities through Formation’s partner ecosystem
  • Promote the use of partnerships among Formation customers where opportunities are relevant
  • Drive partnership activities from inception to execution, holding internal and external stakeholders accountable for commitments, milestones, and deliverables to realize outcomes and results
  • Build and expand relationship network in the marketing technology community

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in strategic partnerships roles at a software company; mar-tech industry experience preferred
  • Proven, measurable track record of building and maintaining partner relationships from the inception through execution
  • Strong business judgement and deal structuring skills
  • Team player that can work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Entrepreneurial DNA - a self-starter able to build capabilities from scratch, see the work through execution, and ruthlessly prioritize in an ever changing/evolving landscape
  • Executive-level written and communication skills
  • Network of relationships in the marketing technology industry
